Arts Pulse Presents Survey of Contemporary N.C. Art
We are delighted to host this exhibition, which features work by many of North Carolina's most talented artists. The exhibition is the result of months of collaboration and enthusiasm from the artists and our curatorial team, and I'm especially appreciative for their capacity to think imaginatively during difficult times. We strive to champion the work of thought-provoking artists at our core, and this show does just that.
Reckoning and Resilience: North Carolina Art Now is a show at Duke University's Arts Pulse that brings together 30 new and veteran artists from throughout the state. This group exhibition, which includes about 100 works, offers a broad picture of contemporary art in North Carolina, both in terms of geographic location and artistic techniques. The show will open on January 13th.
The Nasher Museum's Mary D.B.T. and James H. Semans Director, Trevor Schoonmaker, said, "We are happy to present this exhibition of work by many of the exceptional artists who live and work in North Carolina." "The exhibition reflects the artists' and curatorial team's collaborative work and energy over many months, and I'm especially grateful for their capacity to think imaginatively amid difficult times." We strive to champion the work of thought-provoking artists at our core, and this event does just that."
